Here are three new necklaces I made this week forming my “bottle cap collection”, which are so named due to the bottle cap focal point in each one. The orange one is “Orange Fizz”, the teal toned one is “Bluebell” and the green and amber piece is “Fried Green Tomatoes”.
Each necklace has a lace applique as its base and a mixed media bottle cap embellishment as its center focal point. The colour of each bottle cap and its beaded tassel shaped the colour palette or scheme for the other decorative elements and the piece as a whole. Pearl, crystal and chain strands and lace trim were used for the side pieces and the necklaces tie on with ribbons at the back of the neck. Fabric flowers, Swarovski crystals and various small beads encompass the rest of the décor of the necklaces.
They are very light and comfortable to wear, each one lies very flat on the collar bone upper chest area and can be worn as loose from or close to the neck as the wearer desires.
These were something different for me create and each one is, as usual with a Bombshell Revival piece, one of a kind. I will be bringing these to my next show on July 13th and will see how they are received.
