I have some exciting news to share – I have been asked by Rene Trim, one of the organizers of the OVCC Christmas show and sale, to accompany him to tape a television spot on Daytime Ottawa. He approached me a few months ago to appear on the show with him to help promote the show and its artists, as well as myself and my own work of course. I was honoured to have been asked and excited by the opportunity. I’m still excited but, a bit nervous now as well. I have never done something like this before and am hoping the experience is kind to me.
The segment will air live on Rogers TV Channel 22 tomorrow at 11 am. The show is an hour long from 11am to 12pm. Our segment will also air again at 2pm, 4:30 pm and 11pm tomorrow.
As I mentioned, Rene and I will be talking about the OVCC Christmas show, which is being held at the Library Archives building on November 23rd and 24th. I will be attending the show as a vendor on the Sunday – November 24th. The show will feature local artisans and their work and is a great opportunity for people to find something unique for a special someone or two on their gift giving list. This will be my first season participating in the holiday season’s shows and I have heard from some of the veterans that the shows have a great atmosphere and are very well attended at this time of the year.
Hope to see you there and please watch our segment tomorrow to find out more information about this season’s OVCC show and some of its artists.
