I am excited to announce that I have been given an invite to participate as a vendor/artist at a new show this summer and early fall – 613flea. I have chosen Saturday, August 13th.
For those of you who have not yet heard of 613flea, it is a marketplace event occurring twice a month on Saturdays at Lansdowne Park (1015 Bank Street, Ottawa) from May to September, 2016. The outdoor dates are held in Aberdeen Square and the indoor dates are held in the Aberdeen Pavilion. Each event runs from 10am to 4pm and is held rain or shine. Admission is FREE.
613flea is billing itself as “Ottawa’s curated marketplace” and features antique dealers, artisans, designers and specialty food vendors. 613flea is modelled after and inspired by the successful Brooklyn Flea, which is held every weekend throughout the year in Brooklyn, New York. The 613flea concept was tested from September – November, 2015 – and it was a major hit with both vendors and customers! Everyone loved the centrally located and fabulous venue, the free admission and the low booth rental for vendors.
For more information, including all of the remaining Saturday dates you can attend from June to September, you can visit their website at http://www.613flea.ca. You can also check them out on Facebook and Instagram.
Note, the organizers of 613flea have just received the go ahead from the City for June 25th’s event to be a night market!
I am excited about and looking forward to giving this new opportunity a try and if all goes well in August, may also reserve a spot for their indoor show in September. Hope to see you there in August….I will have new stock to tempt you with!
